Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Kranze Technology Solutions develops complex cutting-edge military hardware and software Digital Interoperability systems that maximize situational awareness to improve the effectiveness of the Warfighter.  KTS is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the DoD cybersecurity policies and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Independently conduct cybersecurity engineering research and provide recommendations for the implementation of security mechanisms in company products
  • Serve as a liaison between end users, customers, software developers and systems engineers to implement cybersecurity requirements in an efficient and effective manner
  • Provide actionable guidance including prototyped solutions to hardware and software developers to improve product security posture
  • Contribute substantiative content to the development of deliverable cybersecurity documentation
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a S.T.E.M. related field with 5+ years of experience
  • DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification
  • Linux systems administration experience
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and standards
  • Proficiency with routers, managed switches, wireless access points, firewalls and VPNs
  • Knowledge of modern encryption techniques
  • Experience with PKI including certificate generation, distribution, storage, usage and revocation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (United States Government requires United States citizenship)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance
  • Experience with NSA’s Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program
  • Experience with NIAP protection profiles for cybersecurity components
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools for Android
  • Experience with the Samsung Knox framework
  • Experience with Data at Rest (DAR) techniques and requirements
  • Experience with hardware root of trust and secure boot system implementations
