Flight Test Engineer
KTS is seeking an experienced, talented, and motivated Flight Test Engineer. The successful candidate will have significant experience with computer hardware and software and have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment. This position works with limited supervision, handles simultaneous tasks, contributes innovate ideas to improve product capabilities, and leads smaller integration efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Support field testing including system installation, data collection, and performance analysis
- Execute system integration, verification and validation, and effectiveness analysis
- Design test installation configurations, wire harnesses, and data collection systems
- Work with other KTS engineering disciplines to design, develop and test hardware and software systems
- Direct interface with external customers and the Warfighter regarding the scheduling, execution, and performance of field testing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- In person/onsite position
- 50% Travel required to support field test events
- Comfortable with computer hardware, architecture, networking and software
- Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
- Experience with basic electronics including circuits and wiring diagrams
- C/C++ or scripting language (Matlab, Python) programming experience preferred
- Strong analytical problem solving skills in high pressure environments
- Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Ability to pass and maintain FAA Class III Flight Physical and Non-Aircrew NASTP Class 2, 3, and 4 training
