Position Summary
The Custom Kitting Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling customer-specific aircraft and KTS custom kits by picking, organizing, and packaging thousands of individual components according to work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and packing requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring customers receive complete, high-quality kits on time. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to 100% accuracy and efficiency.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring customers receive complete, high-quality kits on time. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to 100% accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and assemble custom kits according to work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and customer specifications.
- Verify all kit components for accuracy, quantity, and quality prior to packaging and shipment.
- Package completed kits to ensure safe handling and delivery while meeting customer and company standards.
- Stage, label, and prepare completed kits for shipment.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
- Maintain organized workstations and warehouse storage areas to promote efficiency and safety.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, as authorized.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet daily production and shipping schedules.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support operational needs.
- High School Diploma
- US Citizen
- Experience in kitting, materials handling, inventory control, or warehouse operations
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow complex picking and kit assembly requirements
- Comfortable working with large quantities of parts and repetitive, accuracy-driven tasks
- Experience in kitting, materials handling, inventory control, or warehouse operations
- Strong computer skills with emphasis in Microsoft outlook and office suite
- Maintaining 100% accuracy when picking, assembling, and packaging customer kits.
- Consistently meeting productivity and efficiency goals.
- Maintaining inventory integrity through accurate put-away and cycle counting.
- Producing complete, high-quality kits with minimal errors or rework.
- Supporting on-time order fulfillment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
